Anastasiia Tsarenko

Business Management and IT

  • Ukraine
  • Business Management & IT
  • Project Manager, Accenture
  • Lives in Sweden

Anastasiia’s journey into STEM didn’t start in a science classroom - it wound through several completely different careers first! She began by helping people plan their holidays in the travel industry, then spent ten years helping entrepreneurs run international businesses.

During that time, Anastasiia became fascinated by something deeper: how people think, work, and grow. So she went to study psychology in the United States, learning how to help people become the best versions of themselves. Afterwards, she realised something was still missing from her toolkit - technology. So she moved to Sweden to study Informatics, which is all about how we use information and computer systems.

STEM is a spectrum, not a single box. You don’t need to decide on one path and stick to it forever.

After finishing this third degree, Anastasiia joined Accenture, a global company, where she now works as a Project Manager at the meeting point of people, business and technology - including exciting new fields like Generative AI and Extended Reality.

Anastasiia describes her own path as anything but a straight line - and she’s proud of that. Each twist and turn taught her new skills that she now combines in her current role. She believes that every challenge in life becomes easier with the support of other people, and she’s grateful to the mentors and friends who helped her along the way.

Her advice to you

Anastasiia’s message to children is that STEM is a spectrum, not a single box. Her advice? Stay curious, be brave enough to change direction if you need to, and remember that combining different interests can make you uniquely valuable.
